Application process for taught courses
To access our online application system, select your course and click the ‘Apply now’ button. Read more in the Application Guide section on our website. Students attending a course at Shrivenham will also need to complete the security clearance application – see the Important information before you apply page of this prospectus or check our website.
You will need to upload the following (in original language as well as an English translation by a certified translator with a certificate of translation provided) to support your online application:
- certificate and transcript relating to your highest qualification (or interim transcript of your marks if you are still studying),
- a personal statement describing your education, skills and experience (maximum 500 words, there are guidelines in the form to help you with this),
- names, titles and email addresses of two references are required for the majority of our courses (you can choose to request us not to contact your referees until after you have received a decision on your application).
Application process for postgraduate research programmes
Intake dates for research students are generally in February, June and October.
If you would like to study one of our research degrees, select your area of interest and apply online. Read more about the various entry routes for research on the Research page of this prospectus.
You can also send an email with your research proposal to study@cranfield.ac.uk

“I had been working as a digital forensic scientist at a private lab in South Africa for about two and a half years. This degree will develop my professional knowledge and allow me to learn the why, instead of just the how. I secured a Commonwealth Scholarship for my studies. It is a large part of why I am able to enjoy quality postgraduate education.”

current student, (Forensic Investigation MSc)
