Finance your studies
A Cranfield degree is an investment in your career and a significant financial commitment. We know that this is often an important factor in making a decision about your studies. Several funding options, loans, bursaries and scholarships are available.
Many of our taught degree students fund their studies by putting together a funding package drawn from savings, small grants, loans or bursaries. Working with you, we can suggest a package that suits your course and circumstances.

Fees
Taught tuition fees
For a full list of fees, which are divided into our specialist areas and include full-time and part-time as well as information about deposits, fee status and more, please visit our website as follows:
Paying for your research degree
Please see the other headings on this page and our website about the various ways you can fund your research degree.
Please note that, for some research degrees, there may be additional costs (known as Additional Fee Element and Direct Operational Costs), which will be explained during the application process.
Deposits
A deposit is required for taught courses and self-funded research degrees. Sponsored and apprenticeship students may not be required to pay a deposit.
Fee status
The fees payable are determined with reference to the UK Department for Education rules. As a guiding principle, UK or Irish nationals who are ordinarily resident in either the UK or Republic of Ireland pay ‘Home’ fees. All other students (including those from the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) pay ‘Overseas’ fees.
EU students from named partner institutions may be charged lower negotiated fees. Click here for a list of these institutions.
Bursaries and scholarships
There are various bursaries for high quality applicants and discounts for Cranfield alumni. These may be available depending on your choice of course, your academic record, your country or your gender – there are several funding streams that may apply to you.
Research students are often able to apply for studentships or other funded opportunities – see our website for the latest information.
You can benefit from our international partnerships, as well as research council funding, to help you with your studies.
